Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will launch service to the Indian capital, New Delhi, beginning March 31, 2008.
Flights will initially operate four times per week between New Delhi and Air Arabia's hub in Sharjah. Beginning in May, the service will become daily.
New Delhi is Air Arabia's 11th destination on the Subcontinent, the largest destination network in India of any Middle East-based carrier. Currently, Air Arabia provides direct service to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram.
