Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will offer Indian travellers seamless connectivity to over 60 Australian cities through a proposed interline agreement with Virgin Blue, the airline said Wednesday.
“The new interline agreement offers an enhanced travel experience with a range of competitive benefits from unified ticketing to simple auto-priced fares for destinations in Australia and New Zealand,” a MAS statement said.
“The tie-up between the two carriers will further smooth the progress of travel for its customers providing them easy check-in from port of boarding to the final destination and also enable passengers to make changes post ticketing or after departure at the nearest Malaysia Airlines office,” the statement added.
The agreement means Malaysia Airlines will now provide connectivity to its five key Australian gateways of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide and to over 60 domestic destinations of Virgin Blue in Australia.
The popular destinations included in the interline agreement are the Gold Coast, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Broome, Hamilton Island, Ballina, Mackay, Rockhampton and Coffs Harbour.
