EL AL Airlines picks Ramco solution

Chennai: EL AL Airlines, Israel's national airlines, has selected Ramco Systems' aviation software solution, Ramco Aviation, to manage the entire maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircrafts. Budget 2008-09
The Chennai-based software company will provide its software to EL AL Airlines that has 39 aircraft, including cargo carriers in its fleet.
It is also looking at similar orders from airlines in African countries, including Egypt, Kamesh Ramamoorthy, Chief Operating Officer, Ramco Systems, told Business Line.
He did not share the deal size. Ramamoorthy said globally Ramco now has 27 customers in the aviation sector. This includes Columbia Helicopters, Petroleum Helicopters, Gulf helicopters, Spice Jet, Indian Airlines, Caribbean Airlines and Virgin America.
