Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian police is investigating into a possible Indian connection in the armed heist involving USD one million at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where security has been beefed up since.
Investigating into the dramatic sequence that saw gunmen injuring five persons and fleeing with USD one million, police is pulling out files of Indian gangs who were linked to similar robberies in the past, a media report said.
It was believed that the gunmen who pulled the shots were of dark complexion and had shouted instructions in Tamil, the New Strait Times said.
Meanwhile, a top official said that closed-circuit television cameras outside the KLIA departure hall were not switched at the time the incident occurred, the report said.
