No issues in starting Saudi direct flight: Mangalore Airport Director

Mangalore : The present airport director Mr. Peter Abraham said that there are no issues in starting direct flight services to this arab country.
“To start with, once or twice a week the flights can operate” said Abraham.
Brushing aside concerns of the new terminal, he said that if direct flight to Saudi is to be initiated right from tomorrow, the airport can still manage the operations with the existing terminal itself. He said that two weeks is all they need to start operating with the new terminal.
The inauguration of the new terminal however, would be done in March, he revealed owing to the expected arrival of the Prime Minister for the inaugural ceremony. “A house may look as if its construction is over but actually its building process wouldn’t be over. Finishing touches take more time usually” he remarked.
Expressing his sympathy for the fair chunk of Mangalorean populace staying in Saudi, he said that with the existing structure of travel, is expensive as well as time wasting.
