Gaya: Night operations at the Gaya International Airport have been suspended following the theft of the lighting systems installed by the Airport Authority of India on nearly half a dozen hillocks in the vicinity.
The now stolen lighting system was installed to maintain vigil and thwart possible sabotage by the ultra left extremist groups and other insurgents. The airport needs extra security in view of its importance as a foreign tourist destination.
