Drunk NRI flier arrested in Ahmedabad for creating ruckus in flight

Ahmedabad: A non-resident Indian (NRI) travelling from London to Ahmedabad via Dubai was arrested for creating ruckus in the flight, on Monday morning. The airline staff was so terrified by the passenger that they had to tie his hands up to calm him down. Soon after the flight landed at the city airport, he was handed over to Sardarnagar police.
According to police, the man identified as one Romin Patel, a native of Anandwho works in London, was coming to the city in an Emirates flight from Dubai. Cops said while boarding the flight, Patel got involved in a verbal spat with some other passengers.
However, according to the complaint lodged by an official of Emirates, Prakash D Patel, Romin allegedly misbehaved and used abusive language with some passengers as well as the airline staff. Sources said that he became so hostile that the staff had to tie his hands to subdue him.
