Indore: Irrespective of whether any VIP is available to inaugurate it, the international terminal of the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar airport is most likely to start operation between January 16 and 26, according to highly placed sources.
The sources said the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has set January 26 deadline for starting operation and has asked all airline offices to shift to the new terminal before January 16.
The AAI had earlier asked the airlines to shift by January 8 but they sought more time to do so, the sources said. Airlines including the Indian, Jet Airways, Kingfisher and Indigo have their offices in the old terminal and operate flights to various domestic destinations.
