AAI officers, workers start relay hunger strike

Kolkata: A group of officers and workers of the Airport Authority of India today began relay hunger strike to press for their demand for immediate rectification of pay anomalies which, they said, were there since 1995.
The relay hunger strike would continue till March 30 when they would take mass casual leave, President of the Airport Authority of India Officers Association Partha Banerjee said.
Only those of the association members who were associated with flight operations did not take part in the agitation, he said.
The members held a demonstration in front of the office of the Airport Director B D Sharma yesterday for the same demand.
