Bangalore: Six months after the ailing Kingfisher Airlines suspended its operation to Mysore, low-fare carrier SpiceJet Ltd has evinced interest in providing air connectivity to the City of Palaces from the State capital.
SpiceJet has come up with a proposal to offer one-stop connection to travellers from Mysore to three different destinations – Chennai, Hyderabad and Goa via Bangalore and vise versa.
The airline officials recently held the first round of talks with Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, who has shown interest to restore air connectivity to Mysore before 2012 edition of Dasara festivities.
The cash-strapped Kingfisher Airlines, which launched its service to Mysore with fanfare in October 2010, abruptly suspended its daily flight to Mysore in November last year.
