Tax Authorities Seize Private Jet Of India's 'King Of Good Times'

Billionaire Vijay Mallya may wonder why he, and he alone, is being blamed for the current disaster that is Kingfisher Airlines, but his company’s problems are far more than a mere intellectual exercise.
Mallya, known as India‘s ‘king of good times’ for his major beer company brands, recently had his private jet confiscated by tax authorities   He  can wonder why that is the case, too. But the fact is, if you don’t pay your bills, stuff like this happens.
The country’s Service Tax Department issued a notice to Kingfisher Airline on Tuesday, saying it was going to impound all Kingfisher’s air planes and seized Mallya’s personal Airbus against unpaid taxes. According to the notice, the airline cannot fly outside the registered airport premises.
