Kochi: It seems the much-hyped sea plane project will finally take off, after the initial hiccups.
According to Suman Billa, Tourism Secretary, the project will be implemented in October.
Earlier, the fishing community had raised their concerns over the sea plane project, citing that the project would be a threat to their livelihood. Besides some serious environmental implications were also pointed out.
Considering their pleas, the government has constituted a committee to study the impact of the project. It is expected to submit the report within a month.
