Dimapur: Two employees of Airport Authority of India (AAI), Dimapur airport were allegedly assaulted by Assam Rifles (AR) personnel in an inebriated state in the parking lot of Dimapur railway station recently. AR man reportedly accused the AAI staff of being “underground cadres” before assaulting them. According to R Shonngam, assistant, human resources, Dimapur airport, the incident took place at about 8:30 p.m. on September 27, when he and two other airport employees were at Dimapur railway station to see off one of their colleagues. While Shonngam had gone to the railway station platform to help his colleague catch the train, the two other AAI employees waited at parking lot.
