Technical snag on AI Dreamliner holds up governor

Bangalore: Another day, another Dreamliner glitch. A Delhi-bound Boeing Dreamliner flight was delayed by over 90 minutes at the Bangalore International Airport (BIA) on Saturday due to a technical glitch.
The Air India (AI) flight, scheduled to depart at 10.30 am, was given the green signal for departure only around 12 noon after the engineering team detected the technical snag. Governor H R Bhardwaj was among the passengers who were left waiting at the airport as engineers worked to repair the snag on the Boeing 787.
The announcement of the Dreamliner's delayed departure had caused some consternation among passengers at the airport terminal, coming as it did in the backdrop of a raft of near-mishaps involving Dreamliner aircraft. Barely a month ago, a panel had fallen off from the under section of a Dreamliner at BIA, prompting concern over the safety of the aircraft.
