Two arrested with gold worth Rs 68 lakh at IGI

New Delhi:  Two people were arrested at IGI airport for trying to smuggle around 3kgs of gold estimated at Rs 68 lakh. The recovery was made on Thursday when the two passengers — coming from Dubai —were intercepted by the customs department.
"While one of the accused passenger arrived at IGI from Dubai by flight number EK 516, the other passenger, a woman, arrived in flight number 6E 24. As their movement was found to be suspicious, they were intercepted on their way out of the airport," said a senior customs official.
