Now, Project-affected persons want flats in NRI Colony

Nerul: Project-affected persons (PAPs) are going to protest against Cidco’s housing project as they are not being given reservation in Seawoods Estate phase one and phase two. They have sought 5% reservation as phase two of the project comprises an 18-storey tower. Cidco had 31 flats for sale and those belonging to SC, ST and other categories and even a Cidco officers have been given flats under the reservation policy.
“Why hasn’t Cidco given flats to the farmers after constructing high-rises on their plots? There are still some plots that have not been given to farmers. When asked, the working president of PAPs Rajesh Patil, said, “We submitted a letter to Cidco MD Sanjay Bhatia four days ago. If they do not give us a positive response, we will protest against them.” Cidco did not fulfil PAPs’ demand and this is the reason Cidco is not getting land for the development of the international airport.
