Jaipur: For many passengers who came late on Sunday night to take the early morning Jaipur- Dubai flight the blockade at the runway was a rude shock. The runway was blocked as the Guwahati-New Delhi flight made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport due to fog and while landing the tyre at the back burst. The Jaipur-Dubai flight passengers were compelled to spend the whole night at the airport lounge. There were elderly, infants and anxious mothers who were looking for baby food. Hundreds of passengers remained stranded for almost 12 hours until the services were resumed.
Raman Deewan and his wife Manisha were disappointed due to the re-scheduling of the Jaipur-Dubai flight. "We have to take a cruise from Dubai to Muscat. The flight has delayed and we have been told that it won't be able to take off until 2.30 pm but the cruise will not wait for us. We will miss it. It is utter carelessness on the part of airlines and I will certainly ask for compensation," said an annoyed Raman. He said that the airlines authorities are least bothered about the problems faced by the passengers and have been very clear about the flight schedule.
