Margao: Goans for Dabolim Only (GFDO) welcomed the proposal of allowing Air Asia to use the Dabolim airport as a hub for its operations, and urges the government and Airport Authority of India (AAI) to recognize this as a sign of potential.
"While the airline's thought of creating a hub at Dabolim is still at a nascent stage, it confirms that the large investment in a new terminal by AAI has indeed uplifted the image of the Dabolim Airport, by resolving the major issue of passenger terminal capacity," said GFDO convenor Fr Eremito Rebello.
"The proposed state aviation policy must be placed for scrutiny by the public with all relevant facts and reasoning, before finalization," added Rebello.
