Two 'suspicious' youths booked for breaching nakabandi at T2

Mumbai: With the airport on high alert following hijack threats as well as threats of ISIS attacks found in the washrooms, two youngsters were booked after they breached a security roadblock near the departure section of Terminal 2 (T2) on Sunday. According to airport security officials, the youths, Mayank Malhotra and Prithvi Raj, were headed to the departures drop-off point of the international terminal when Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel asked them to halt. Malhotra, who was at the wheel, ignored them and continued to drive his car at the same speed.

This alarmed the personnel and they passed on a message to their counterparts at the end of the Sahar Road to stop them. Malhotra stopped the car only when he was forced to at the second roadblock, and the youths were found to have no travel documents or anything else to explain their presence in the area.
“Their car was in bad shape and, hence, they were asked to stop. When they breached the first nakabandi, they were forcibly stopped at another one at the end of the road. They didn’t look like passengers and had no travel documents.
