Malappuram: The delay in development works of Karipur International airport has triggered wide protest among thousands of passengers and different organisations in the districts of Malabar region.
Though the airport had already been partially closed for the runway repair works which were to begin in the first week of September, it is yet to start the work.
The political parties, including the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), CPM and Calicut Chamber of Commerce are planning to intensify the protest against the delay in beginning the runway repair works in the coming days.
