Air India launches Bengaluru-Belagavi flights

Air India commenced Airbus A319 services between Bengaluru and Belagavi on Friday. The
maiden flight received an overwhelming response from passengers both from and towards
Bengaluru.
On its arrival at the Sambra airport, the Airbus was given a water cannon salute and
passengers were welcomed. The maiden Airbus A319 flight carried 83 passengers from
Bengaluru to Belagavi on Friday morning and flew back 104 passengers to Bengaluru from
Belagavi.
This Airbus service will operate every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. After SpiceJet
shifted its operations to Hubballi to avail the benefits of the Udaan Scheme in July, there
were no flights to Bengaluru from the Sambra airport here.
