Jewar airport drives Rs 1,600cr investments for YEIDA

Greater Noida: Investors are back at the doors of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.
In fact, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allocated more than a dozen plots and secured investments worth close to Rs 1,600 crore since the easing of lockdown restrictions from May 5. The investments would lead to the generation of more than 27,000 jobs, officials said.
And Tuesday onward, the Authority started going through the proposals of applicants interested in setting up shops at the Apparel Park cluster. So far, about 20 plots have been allocated.

The apparel park scheme would extend up to June 30. Authority officials have got names of 73 applicants by Wednesday evening, who had applied through Nivesh Mitra, the single-window portal set up by the UP government to facilitate investments.

Shailendra Bhatia, chairman (investment cell) of the Yamuna Expressway Authority, said, “Applications of industrialists who want to set up shop along Yamuna Expressway were examined this week. A lot of people from other states have shown interest.”
