Mumbai: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has busted a drug cartel involving a Nigerian and a Ugandan national.
The authorities have seized 1.5 kg of cocaine worth Rs 15 crore. The agency has arrested two people identified as Salty Thomas from Nigeria and Uganda national Nakirijja Alice . They are looking for at least two more Nigerian nationals who are running the syndicate.
The DRI officials had intelligence that Thomas, who would arrive at Mumbai international airport from Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Airlines on Friday, would be carrying narcotic substance. Officials said both of them have been placed under the NDPS act.
