Vadodara: A 20-year-old man posing as an airline pilot was nabbed by security at the Harni airport in the city on August 21 when he was about to board a flight to Delhi. The Harini police filed a non-cognizable offence against the man identified as Harish Mangela, a resident of Mumbai, on Thursday.
Mangela was wearing a pilot’s uniform but the security staff got suspicious and intercepted him. He was questioned following which Mangela said that he studies in a private institute that trains air hostesses. His bag contained booklets of flight safety manuals. When the security guards checked his mobile phone, they found many photos of him in pilot’s dress. He was handed over to the Harni police where he said that he used to dress as a pilot and get photographed to impress his women friends.
