Star Air Expands Network with Launch of Mundra Services from June 23

Regional carrier Star Air has announced the launch of scheduled commercial flight services to Mundra in Gujarat, with operations set to commence on June 23. The addition of Mundra marks the airline's 32nd destination in its growing domestic network and is aimed at enhancing air connectivity to one of India's most important industrial and port hubs. The airline said the move aligns with its strategy of connecting underserved regions with major economic centres across the country.

The new services will provide direct and one-stop connectivity between Mundra and several key cities, including Mumbai, Hindon (Ghaziabad), Goa (Mopa), Bengaluru and other destinations across Star Air's network. According to the airline, five weekly direct flights will operate between Mumbai and Mundra, offering a faster travel option for business travellers, port users and industrial stakeholders. The airline believes the new route will support trade, commerce and regional development by improving access to the Kutch region and the Adani-operated Mundra Port, India's largest commercial port.

Star Air Managing Director Shrenik Ghodawat said the launch reflects the airline's commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and unlocking economic opportunities in emerging markets. He noted that Mundra's growing importance as a logistics, manufacturing and maritime hub makes it a strategically significant addition to the carrier's network. The airline, which operates an all-Embraer fleet, said the new services are expected to benefit business travellers, tourists and local communities by providing reliable and convenient air links to destinations across India.
